HC Deb 30 July 1953 vol 518 c205W
90. Mr. Callaghan

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why it took nearly six months to print the 80-page Report of the Council for Wales and Monmouthshire.

98. Mr. Gower

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why there was a long delay in the publication of the most recent Report of the Council for Wales; and what representations he will make to ensure that future Reports may be published more expeditiously.

Sir D. Maxwell Fyfe

My hon. Friend the Joint Under-Secretary of State indicated in reply to a Question by the hon. Member for Anglesey (Mr. C. Hughes) on 11th May that the Report was unlikely to be ready for publication before the end of June. I regret that, in the event, the delay was rather longer than I had hoped.
