asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what finance is to be allocated by the three regions and the Central Government of Nigeria to the Man-o'-War Scheme for youth training; and what progress has been made regarding the recruitment of staff, provision of equipment and establishment of buildings.

The financing of the Man-o'-War Bay Scheme is now to be undertaken jointly by the Nigerian Central and Regional Governments. I am asking the acting Governor of Nigeria for the further details requested and will write to the hon. Member when I have received them.
