HC Deb 29 July 1953 vol 518 cc166-7W
Mr. A. Evans

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if, in conformity with the decision of the Minister of Health, he will instruct the Crown Agents for the Colonies not to place contracts or orders with Medical Supply Association, Limited, until this firm complies with the fair wages clause, 1946.

Mr. Lyttelton

It is the normal practice of the Crown Agents for the Colonies to stipulate that contractors shall comply with the fair wages resolution, 1946. They are, therefore, placing no further orders with the Medical Supply Association, Limited, pending the outcome of the investigations into that firm's compliance with the resolution.
