Winterbottomasked the Assistant Postmaster-General when he will permit the British Broadcasting Corporation to proceed with first television coverage for East Anglia, South-East Kent, West Wales, Cumberland, North Scotland, North Wales and South Cornwall for which frequencies were allotted at the Stockholm Conference in 1952.
§ Mr. GammansThe Government have just sanctioned a substantial programme of work on additional television stations and it is too early to say when further stations can be authorised.

§ Mr. GammansThe main areas will be the north-west part of Scotland, part 147W of South Scotland and North-West England, the western part of Northern Ireland, Central Wales, East Anglia, and part of South-West Kent.
