HC Deb 28 July 1953 vol 518 c116W
57. Mr. R. J. Taylor

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he is aware of the concern of the Newbiggin-by-the-Sea Urban District Council as to the likely loss of amenities which will be caused by the proposed route of the new mineral line from Wood-horn Colliery to Tynemouth Colliery; and what steps he has taken to ensure that the views of this authority have been fully taken into consideration.

Mr. Marples

The local planning authority have consulted the district council, and my right hon. Friend has no doubt that they will give proper weight to the views of the district council when dealing with the application for planning permission.
