§ 98. Mrs. Braddockasked the Secretary of State for War why no notice has been taken of two medical certificates sent on behalf of 22420537 Private E. Southward, Cecil Street, Liverpool, who is to report for training from 9th August to 23rd August, 1953, stating that, in view of 27W injuries, he is not considered fit to undertake training; and if he will inquire into the matter.
§ Mr. HeadIt is not the case that these medical certificates have been ignored. A medical board to review this soldier's fitness is being arranged and he has been informed of this. He will not, of course, be required to report for training unless he is found fit to train.
§ 102. Mr. Doddsasked the Secretary of State for War the dates on which 2274780 Signalman K. F. Davis was home on leave in March; on what date after this he was on an exercise; and on what date he was admitted to the Military Hospital, Catterick, with rheumatic fever.
§ Mr. HeadThis soldier did not go on leave during March. He was on an exercise on 21st March and the date of admission to hospital was 25th March.
