Mr. Butterfillasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many places have been sponsored under the community programme in the counties of Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and Avon; and, in the case of Dorset, if he will list and enumerate the number of places sponsored by each district council.
Mr. Peter MorrisonThe number of places sponsored under the community programme in Dorset is 170, in Devon 867, in Cornwall 705 and in Avon 1,468. The only district council in Dorset so far sponsoring places under the programme is Weymouth and Portland borough council with 27 places.
