HC Deb 16 July 1953 vol 517 c185W
Mr. Llewellyn

asked the Minister of Education whether she will invite the Central Advisory Council for Education (Wales) to consider and report upon the influence of television programmes on the teaching of Welsh in schools.

Miss Horsbrugh

No. The Central Advisory Council for Education (Wales) have already given some thought to this matter as is shown in paragraph 339 of their recently published report on "The Place of Welsh and English in the Schools of Wales," but I do not think that any useful purpose would be served by asking them to undertake a special inquiry at this time.
