§ 25. Sir R. Aclandasked the Minister of Labour whether he can give any information on the case of a man in Graves-end, of which particulars have been sent to him showing that he was discharged from the Royal Naval Reserve Patrol 181W Service as unfit owing to high blood pressure and immediately called up and passed fit for National Service.
§ Sir W. MoncktonI am satisfied that this man's medical grading under the National Service Acts in May was correct. The consultant to whom he was referred reported that the man's blood pressure was well within normal limits. The findings of the doctor to whom he was referred by the naval authorities are not such as to affect his grading, but in order to remove any possible grounds for doubt, I am arranging for an examination by a different board.
