HC Deb 15 July 1953 vol 517 c165W
54. Mr. Healy

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General what steps he takes to secure that enclosures in letters passing through the Northern Ireland offices, and being censored, actually contain these enclosures when handed back into his custody.

Mr. Gammans

There is no postal censorship in Northern Ireland. If the hon. Member is referring to action which may be taken under a warrant issued by the Governor of Northern Ireland I can assure him that all proper steps are taken to ensure that letters dealt with under such a warrant are sent on by post with their enclosures.
