HC Deb 02 July 1953 vol 517 cc36-7W
54. Mr. Bowden

asked the Minister of Health if his attention has been called to the nuisance caused by the emission of grit and soot from the chimney of the Royal Infirmary, Leicester, to residents in the neighbourhood and the hospital alike; and if he will see that every possible assistance is given to the hospital management committee in their endeavours to abate this nuisance.

Mr. Iain Macleod

Yes. The regional hospital board is at present considering how quickly it can fit the scheme for improvement into its capital programme.
