HC Deb 02 July 1953 vol 517 c35W
6. Mr. Short

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in view of the relevance of our educational system to the solution of our economic problems, he will allow greater capital expenditure for educational purposes.

Mr. Maudling

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the hon. Member for Workington (Mr. Peart) on 25th June, to which I have nothing to add.
