asked Her Majesty's Government the latest available figure of the total cost of maintaining the residential conference centre, including any costs appertaining to such activities, at Wiston House, Steyning, Sussex.

THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (THE MARQUESS OF READING)

The total costs of maintaining and staffing the Civil Training Centre at Wiston House, Steyning, Sussex, with the cost of travel of those attending it, for the year ended March 31, 1952, amounted to just under £32,000, of which£5,700 for rent and maintenance of the premises was met from the votes of the Ministry of Works.
