11W
§ Mr. J. StuartThe terms of reference of the Hill Lands (North of Scotland) Commission do not require them to issue any formal or regular reports, but the Chairman of the Commission did make a statement to the Press on 28th May, 1952, outlining the Commission's general view of the problem before them and the possibilities of expansion of cattle rearing in the Highlands.
The main function of the Commission is to persuade the farming communities in the north of Scotland to breed and rear more hill cattle.
