§ Mr. Rossasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will introduce legislation to make adequate pension provision for families of firemen killed on duty, and to make such provision retrospective.
§ Mr. J. StuartThere is already provision for the payment of special pensions or allowances to the dependants of both whole-time and part-time firemen who are killed on duty. In the case of part-time firemen the arrangements were revised last December, but I regret that there is no power to give the revised arrangements retrospective effect.
