HC Deb 25 February 1953 vol 511 c216W
72. Mr. G. Thomas asked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether he

is aware of the inconvenience caused to the people living in the Fairwater Housing Estate, Cardiff, due to the absence of adequate telephone facilities; and what steps he proposes to take to remedy the matter.

Mr. Gammans

Yes. I hope that an extra public kiosk will be erected and in service within six weeks. New plant is needed to meet most of the outstanding applications for the telephone in the Fairwater Estate, and this will be provided as soon as our limited resources will allow.
