HC Deb 24 February 1953 vol 511 c209W
Mr. Wheatley

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland to state the values of the 57 building projects submitted by regional hospital boards in Scotland which have been approved and started; the value of the 41 projects which have been approved but have not yet been started; and when these latter projects are likely to start.

Mr. J. Stuart

The total value of the 57 projects under way is about £2,450,000, of which £800,000 is due to be carried out during 1953. The total value of the 41 other projects is about £1,700,000. I hope that regional boards will be able to start most of these during 1953, but resources cannot be made available for carrying out more than about £300,000 of work on them during the year.
