§ Mr. Edeasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department to state the balance between wastage and recruitment in the months of October, November and December, 1952, in the police forces of England and Wales, giving separately the figures for the Metropolitan Police, all the county police forces and all the county borough police forces; and the total balance between wastage and recruitment of each group over the period between 1st August, 1951, and 31st December, 1952.
