§ 104. Mr. Bartleyasked the Minister of Health the number of whole-time chaplains employed in hospitals within the National Health Service and the conditions on which hospital management committees decide to employ whole-time chaplains.

Hospital management committees are authorised to appoint full-time chaplains if the average number of patients to be served in the denomination in question is not less than 750, unless there are exceptional circumstances justifying such appointments for smaller units.
