Mr. Popplewellasked the Secretary of State for War if he is aware that men completing their two years National Service are being recalled within 10 weeks to undergo their first year's emergency service in the Territorials; and, in view of the waste of time and manpower involved, if he will take steps to ensure that a reasonable minimum period elapses before men are recalled for this service.

HutchisonA National Service man is not called on to train in the Territorial Army under his part-time training liability for at least three months after he completes his whole-time service.102W If the hon. Member will give me particulars of any case in which this procedure has not been followed I shall be glad to look into it.
