asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the hardship which is being caused to many British traders by Brazil's failure to meet payments due for goods delivered; and if he is now able to state what steps he is taking to insist on payment of these debts.

Yes, I am aware of this hardship but as my right hon. Friend explained in reply to a Question on 10th February by my hon. Friend the Member for Abingdon (Sir R. Glyn), I am not yet in a position to make a statement.
