HC Deb 16 February 1953 vol 511 cc92-3W
Mr. Bossom

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will immediately set in motion the machinery for arranging alternate grazing in Kent for the cattle whose normal pasturage has been so largely destroyed by the flood.

Sir T. Dngdale

I am glad to be able to say that the grazing needs of farmers in Kent whose land has been flooded have been very largely met by offers of pasturage on the upland farms. The response of the upland farmers has been magnificent. Long-term arrangements are in hand.
