HC Deb 12 February 1953 vol 511 cc57-8W
Mr. Bossom

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he has yet decided whether owners of livestock killed by the flood or which will have to be slaughtered due to the flooding, will receive compensation, and upon what basis it will be determined.

Sir T. Dugdale

I am not in a position to add to what my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department told the House yesterday. The whole question of compensation is under urgent consideration, and an announcement of the Government's intentions will be made as soon as possible.
