asked the First Lord of the Admiralty his arrangements for the berthing of merchant ships and yachts for the Coronation review; which major merchant ships he expects to be there; and whether he will take into account the large numbers of yachts. of small size, that are likely to wish to attend.

The invitation to the Merchant Navy to take part in the Naval Review was conveyed through the General Council of Shipping. Details will shortly be discussed with representatives of the Council.

As far as possible the ships will be berthed in one or other of the lines in which the Fleet is drawn up. An anchorage is being set aside for private yachts, probably in the vicinity of the Ryde Middle Bank and application forms for berths have been distributed to secretaries of yacht clubs throughout the United Kingdom.

Completed application forms should be sent to the Commander-in-Chief, Portsmouth, by 1st March, 1953.
