asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works, as representing the Lord President of the Council, if he will now make a statement on the lines of research into the incidence of lung cancer among gas workers to be pursued by the Medical Research Council.

Mr. Molson

The possibility of conducting further research on the incidence of lung cancer among gas workers is still under discussion by the Medical Research Council in consultation with other departments. I am, therefore, unable to make any statement at present about investigations which may be undertaken in the future.
