§ 23 and 24. Mr. Albuasked the President of the Board of Trade (1) whether the approval given by the Furniture Industry Committee of the British Standards Institution to standards for dining chairs and cabinet goods on Monday, 19th January, was final, or whether it was subject to further circulation to the committee of technical items;
(2) when standard specifications for dining chairs and cabinet goods will be available to the public.
§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftI am informed by the British Standards Institution that they expect to publish British standards for dining chairs and cabinet goods on about 10th February. As regards the finality of the standards, I would refer the hon. Member to the announcement made by the British Standards Institution on 20th January, which my hon. and learned Friend quoted during the debate on 21st January.
