§ 40. Mr. Westasked the President of the Board of Trade on what date approval was given to the location of two privately financed factory projects in Blaenavon, mentioned in Table 10 of Command Paper No. 8678 presented to Parliament in July, 1952; when the necessary licences were granted; and when construction will start.
§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftIndustrial Development Certificates for these two National Coal Board building projects were issued on 24th October. 1951, and 8th May, 1952, respectively. I am informed that the first, a slurry settling tank, is under construction; no building licence has yet been issued for the other, a brickworks, since this scheme is still under consideration by the National Coal Board.
