§ Mr. Footasked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether he will give an assurance that facilities will not be provided for commercial television stations in any part of the country before full and adequate provision has been made by the British Broadcasting Corporation for the reception of their television programmes in the West Country.
§ Mr. GammansThere has been no change in the policy of the Government regarding commercial television stations from that announced in this House on 11th June, 1952. Plymouth is one of the low-powered stations in the B.B.C. programme to which reference was made in that debate.
