HC Deb 04 February 1953 vol 510 c209W
Mr. Lewis

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General details of the number of staff employed by his Department in the Palace of Westminster who, since 1946, have not received a salary increase; what, on the average, have been the percentage salary increases made to the remainder; how many, in 1946, were receiving £1,000 per annum: and their present rate of pay.

Mr. Gammans

The answer to the four parts of the Question are (1) none; (2) the average percentage increase in pay could not, I regret, be calculated without an undue expenditure of time and labour; (3) none; (4) this does not arise.
