§ 65. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he will give an estimate of the cost, by mile or otherwise, of relaying or linking up a television service from the Kirk o'Shotts television station with other places in Scotland.
205W
§ Mr. GammansThe cost of serving places in Scotland at present outside the range of television will naturally vary, but in the case of Aberdeen, I am informed that a television station, together with a programme link from Kirk o'Shotts, would cost about £60,000, even on a temporary and makeshift basis. The cost of a permanent station would be very much greater.
