§ Mr. Geoffrey LloydThe maximum wholesale price of heavy fuel oil fell during 1952 owing to reductions in the world price and in ocean freight charges. The maximum wholesale price of burning oil rose by about 3 per cent. on the average, because of higher distribution costs, offset in part by lower ocean freight charges. These prices are regularly reviewed by my Department and reductions are made as and when justified by lower costs.
