asked Her Majesty's Government what were:

  1. 1. The sickness rates of insured men and insured women respectively;
  2. 2. The Maternal Mortality rates; and
  3. 3. The Infant Mortality rates;
for the years 1938. 1948 and for the latest complete year for which such rates are available.

The following tables give the available information:

1. The figures in this table are for Great Britain and represent the number of weeks for which sickness benefit was payable per employed person under pensionable age insured for sickness benefit. These figures relate only to incapacitating sickness ranking for benefit:
