§ Sir D. EcclesBoth clocks are "slaves" to a master clock. They are worked by an electric impulse received every half minute, and as they are on the same circuit, each is bound to receive the same impulse. They cannot be altered separately from outside the Chamber. All clocks are checked daily. No discrepancy has ever been detected in the time shown by these clocks; they have not been altered recently.
