§ Mr. Proctorasked the Minister of Education (1) how many educationally sub-normal children of school age in the Swinton area are receiving no education by the State;
(2) how many educationally sub-normal children of school age in the Eccles area are receiving no education by the State.
§ Miss HorsbrughI understand from the local education authority for Lancashire that 27 children from Swinton and 43 from Eccles have so far been ascertained as in need of places in special schools for the educationallysub-normal. All these children are at present attending ordinary schools.
