§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterI assume that my hon. Friend has in mind the numbers of non-industrial civil servants. The numbers of permanent non-industrial civil servants employed on 1st July, 1953, were as follows:

I regret that similar figures for temporary non-industrial Civil Servants are not available.
