§ 127. Mr. Nicholsonasked the Minister of Supply what decision he has now reached as to the location of the Fighting Vehicle Design and Proving Establishments, Chobham.
§ Mr. SandysHer Majesty's Government have not yet reached a final decision about the permanent location of the Fighting Vehicles Research and Development Establishment of the Ministry of Supply. However, in view of the present need for national economy and of the very heavy expenditure which transfer to another area would involve, it must be recognised that it will be impracticable to remove the establishment from Chobham in the foreseeable future.
