HC Deb 17 December 1953 vol 522 cc113-4W
122 and 123. Mr. Langford-Holt

asked the Secretary of State for War (1) why letters are still being addressed by the Assistant Director of Medical Services, London District, to the Assistant Director of Medical Services, Mid-West District, at Avonstoke, Belle Vue Gardens, Shrewsbury, which was derequisitioned seven years ago; and what action has been taken on the letters written to both the Director of Medical Services and the Assistant Director of Medical Services by Mr. A. B. Baker residing at the above address, pointing out that he has been there resident since 1947;

(2) to what address two letters, sent by Assistant Director Medical Services, London District to Assistant Director Medical Services Mid-West District at Avonstoke, Belle Vue Gardens, Shrewsbury, which ceased to be the correct address seven years ago, which letters are at present in the custody of the hon. Member for Shrewsbury, should now be forwarded, in view of the fact that one of these envelopes posted on 9th December, 1953, is marked "Confidential."

Mr. J. R. H. Hutchison

Mistakes do happen. This one will not happen again. I think that the best course would be for my hon. Friend to let me have the two letters.
