Mr. Jannerasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether, in view of the fact that Sabena Airways have started their first international helicopter services in Europe, he can give any approximate date in the future when the British European Airways Corporation may set up such a service in this country.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydUnlike Sabena's services, international helicopter services from this country involve flight over open sea for which single-engined helicopters are operationally unsuitable. Development of helicopters with more than one 115W engine has not reached a stage when it is possible to give an approximate date for their introduction on our international services.
