107. Mr. J. T. Hallasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he is aware of the extra burden placed upon local authorities through the operation of the transport levy; and if he will take steps to minimise this charge upon the rates.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydParliament decided to impose this levy only after full discussion of its implications for local authorities. I have no power to modify its incidence.
