§ 43. Mr. Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will give details of the communication he sent to Mrs. Betty Chapman; and the reasons for refusing her readmittance to her home on the Gold Coast.
§ Mr. LytteltonMrs. Chapman was informed by my Department that on 8th December the Governor in Council declared her a prohibited immigrant under Section 12 of the Gold Coast Immigration Ordinance, 1947, which does not require any reasons to be given for decisions under it.
