HC Deb 16 December 1953 vol 522 cc65-6W
122. Mr. John MacLeod

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what sums he estimates will be expended on road development in the seven Crofter counties within the next three years and in Ross and Cromarty in particular.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

I am in close consultation with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland, but I regret that I can add nothing at present to the statement that I made to the House on 8th December regarding the new expenditure in Scotland; the distribution of this between different parts of Scotland is still under consideration. It is contemplated that the normal financial arrangements with local authorities will continue.
