asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the fact that we have spent already this year over £13 million of dollars on the importation of Canadian barley, and that there are surpluses of barley in the non-dollar area, he will restrict further importations of Canadian barley.

No. It is the Government's policy that barley and all types of grain for consumption in the United Kingdom may be imported freely from any part of the world.
