asked the Minister of Supply if he is aware that there is redundancy in his Departmental supply at Greenhill Estate, Coatbridge; and if he will make a statement on this matter.

I understand that between March and July this year the number of persons employed at the Ministry of Supply Vehicle Repair Depot at Coatbridge, which is managed by a contractor, was reduced from about 350 to about 300. This was due to changes in the types of vehicle under repair. I am informed that no further reductions are expected.
