HC Deb 10 December 1953 vol 521 c281W
125. Mr. Isaacs

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if, in consequence of the discomfort and injury to health caused to the residents and business people in the area of the Bank-side power station in Southwark, due to the discharge of smoke and grit from the old plant which is coal fired and has 17 chimneys, he will take such action as may be open to him to minimise the nuisance during the period that has to elapse before the new oil-fuelled station is in operation.

Mr. H. Macmillan

I am making inquiries and will write to the hon. Member.
