HC Deb 08 December 1953 vol 521 cc224-5W
115. Mr. Harold Davies

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is aware that the export trade of Hong Kong to China fell from £9,500,000 in the third quarter of 1952 to £4,400,000 in the third quarter of this year; and what steps he will take to prevent the continuance of this downward trend in Hong Kong's export trade to China.

Mr. Lyttelton

I would refer the hon. Member to the Statement which I made in reply to a Question by the Hon. Member for Newcastle-under-Lyme (Mr. Swingler) on 25th November, to which I have nothing to add.
