§ Mr. Selwyn LloydAccording to information given by the United Nations Chief of Staff to the Security Council, the Mixed Armistice Commission received, from the beginning of this year up to 15th October, 178 complaints of incidents of all types by Israel and 167 by Jordan. Of these, the Mixed Armistice Commission upheld 20 against Jordan and 21 against Israel.
According to complaints upheld by the Mixed Armistice Commission, 10 Israelis were killed and 13 wounded during this period, as against 55 Jordanians killed and 23 wounded. In addition, two Israelis were killed in Jordan as a result of Israeli attacks. The figure of 55 Jordanians killed includes 42 killed at Qibya. This figure, according to the Jordanian representative in the Security Council, was finally put at 66, which would bring the total number of Jordanians killed to 79.
