HC Deb 07 December 1953 vol 521 c184W
34. Mr. Donnelly

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether he is aware of the shortage of anthracite and other similar fuels in Pembrokeshire; and what steps he is taking to improve the situation.

Mr. Joynson-Hicks

Supplies of anthracite and dry steam coal are not sufficient to meet the increasing demand in any part of the country; but for many purposes coke is a good alternative fuel and ample supplies are at present available in Pembrokeshire.
