asked the Minister of Pensions how many protests he has received from ex-Service men's associations against the proposed amalgamation of the Ministries of Pensions and National Insurance; and how many such associations have expressed satisfaction with the proposal.

With regard to the first part of the Question, I have received protests or expressions of concern from the headquarters of four ex-Service associations and from a number of the branches of two of them. The answer to the second part of the Question is "None."
