Mr. Vaneasked the Minister of Fuel and Power what direction he has given to the British Electricity Authority under Section 5 of the Electricity Act, 1947, with regard to the priorities to be observed in the extension of electricity mains in rural areas and, in particular, on the preference to be given to houses which have been on the waiting lists for electricity for a number of years over new houses.
