§ Major Markhamasked the Prime Minister whether in view of the present difficulties in the way of Members of Parliament obtaining up-to-date information about the nationalised industries of this country, he will cause inquiries to be made as to whether meetings can be arranged in Parliament on a non-party basis at which those in control of nationalised undertakings could explain the present state of those industries, and answer questions.
§ The Prime MinisterI should assume that this is one of the matters to which the Select Committee on Nationalised Industries would direct its attention and perhaps my hon. and gallant Friend and I may both await their recommendations.
